Non-profits called to apply for eThekwini funding

Application forms for Grant-In-Aid financial assistance are accessible on eThekwini's website.

NON-PROFIT organisations (NPOs) in the art, culture and heritage sectors within the eThekwini Municipality area are invited to apply for Grant-In-Aid financial assistance to sustain their programmes. The closing date for applications is January 31 at 16:00.

Zama Sokhabase, who is the chairperson of the community services committee, said that with urban populations expanding, cultural heritage is evolving, and the ideology of culture and heritage is eventually phasing out.

“With such challenges, the municipality has developed strategies to preserve historical assets that are still significant in the modern age,” said Sokhabase.

Application forms and guiding documents are accessible on the municipal website and can be obtained on request via email from nonhle.mnculwane@durban.gov.za.
