UPDATE: Umgababa murder-accused makes another court appearance

This was Thokozani Mhlongo's second appearance since he was arrested for the death of two women.

THOKOZANI Mhlongo, the man who is accused of murdering two women in Umgababa two weeks ago, abandoned his bail application after he appeared in the Umbumbulu Magistrate’s Court on Monday, August 28.

He made his first court appearance on August 21, while investigations continued into the death of Zanele Mbuso and Monica Xulu who were found in a shallow grave on August 18, near the créche they worked at. The women had gone missing on August 9, and Mhlongo, who was a security guard at the same créche, was arrested after the grisly discovery was made.

Mhlongo will make his next appearance on September 25.
