In recognition of the importance of music in the development of children, the Playhouse Company wishes to acknowledge and celebrate the wealth of talented young musicians in KwaZulu-Natal, through a showcase of the top-ten school music ensembles on August 5.

School-based music programmes have been breeding grounds for South Africa’s rich musical heritage for decades. Providing pathways for musical careers in the industry, this is also where many of our country’s leading musicians first discovered their love for their craft. All Stars Shine – A Showcase of KZN Schools’ Talent is a celebration of the diversity of musical cultures that South Africa offers. This takes place at The Playhouse Company – Drama Main, 231 Smith St, Durban Central, Durban. The show starts at 14:00, and a ticket costs R50.
