On Monday, February 13, the municipality said it is aware of the problem, and it came after the call centre received a large number of calls from residents trying to lodge complaints.
“Our technical team is attending to the matter. The public is urged to be patient as it may sometimes take longer due to an influx of calls. Alternatively, they can use the WhatsApp number, 073 1483 477, or email Eservices@durban.gov.za,” said eThekwini’s spokesperson Msawakhe Mayisela.
