Thursday, October 20

The third KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra Spring Season concert takes place in the Playhouse Opera. The concert, which runs every Thursday between October 6–27, with each concert starting at 19:00, has seen well-articulated concert classics brought to life by four of the finest conductors currently in action on the international circuit.

Sharing the spotlight with an iconic line-up of brilliant young soloists from abroad are some of the best SA has to offer.

The public is welcome to come to the ‘tea and symphony’ concerts on Thursday mornings at 10:00. Tickets are R50 and available from the Playhouse box office from 09:00. Tickets for children in school uniform or under 12 years are R35. Unreserved seating throughout.

Discounted pre-validated parking is available at the Royal Hotel.

Durban Café is hosting a Durban Diwali Bhangra Party this Saturday, October 22.

The party is set to have the best Bollywood DJs in town and will have attendees dancing through the night. Some of the DJs to take turns on set include Deejay Desiblue, Sanveer Gowrie, Vinosh Ramparsad, Deon Chetty, Nichal Sarawan, Dhenesh Dizzy D Maharaj and Suraj Singh.

The Diwali Bhangra Party is coming up this Saturday at Dance Café.

The Paddock Flea Market is at Hollywood Bets Greyville Racecourse this Sunday, 23 October.

The re-creation of the atmosphere of the previous Stables Lifestyle Market will see consumers experience shopping, live music, dancing, a KidsZone with face-painting, a picnic area, food stalls, shot bars, entertainment, live horse racing and more, all in one place.

The Paddock Flea Market is taking place this Sunday, 23 October.

The market will be inside the racecourse, undercover, at the finish line. The venue will be safe and secure, wheelchair-friendly, and attendees will have access to free Wi-Fi.

Sunday, October 23

The Amashova Durban Classic Race takes place this Sunday, October 23. The race, which follows the famous ‘Comrades Marathon’ route from Pietermaritzburg to Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium, is traditionally known to attract cyclists from around the country and abroad.

Cyclists and spectators alike will get to enjoy a wonderful Lifestyle Expo at the Suncoast Globe as part of registration during the race weekend.

Organisers of the race have put in place all the necessary measures to ensure that the safety of riders and supporters is top of their agenda. In a bid to host yet another safe and pleasurable experience, the Amashova team is liaising with the Durban Metro Police, SAPS, Msunduzi Traffic and RTI, as well as other key safety and logistics companies.

Online entries close on September 23, and late entries on the weekend of the race will still take place.
