Suspect spotted carrying TV along Doonside railway

Two large flat-screen TVs were found in the bush along Main Road, but no arrests have been made yet.

ON Thursday, June 30, security companies were called out after reports were made of a male carrying a flat-screen TV along the railway track in Doonside.

A witness from a nearby block of flats said, “I saw the man walking sneakily from the Amanzimtoti side, with a large TV, before he casually walked into one of the nearby shops along Main Road without it in hand.”

When CCPO, ET Rapid Response and Blue Security responded, they found two large flat-screen TVs in the bush along Main Road, Doonside.

“We have had no reports of a stolen TV as yet. We suspect he was going to come back for the TVs, but we retrieved them before he could,” said ET Rapid Response reaction manager, Ashley Naidoo.

There have been no arrests made.
