Umkomaas washaway worsens

MOTORISTS commuting on the R102 between Umkomaas and Ifracombe are warned to be cautious of the washaway next to the road.
The washaway near the Umkomaas River bridge was caused by floods in April. The ongoing rains have caused more sand from under the tar to erode.
Ward 97 councillor, André Beetge has asked residents to keep off the roads and remain indoors while the bad weather persists.
