10km fun run hosted at Hutchison Park

“We had a lovely field of runners, with entries in most categories we offered.”-Mad Mud Adventure Races.

ON Sunday, March 6, Mad Mud Adventure Races hosted a four-part 10km race at Hutchison Park.

“We had a lovely field of runners, with entries in most categories we offered,” said Mad Mud Adventure Races race organiser, Cruz Barber.

The event was sponsored by a few local businesses, who sponsored lucky draw prizes, category prize money, food, juice and water to keep the runners hydrated in the scorching sun.

There was also music played by DJ Sunshine, Tony Marron, president of the Lions Club of Kingsburgh. All donations made on the day will be donated to the Lions Club.

The overall first place prize for male and female competitors went to Sphelele Nhlumayo and Kim Anderson, who each received R1 000.

A special acknowledgement and prize went to Hamish Livingston, who completed the 10km at the age of 82.
