Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare Society’s honorary life members awarded

These women are passionate about helping the community.

KINGSBURGH Child and Family Welfare Society awarded three of its volunteers life time membership certificates in recognition of their sterling work in the organisation.

Phyllis Gardiner, Lyn Bignell and Jenny Smith received their prestigious awards on World NGO Day, which was observed on Sunday, February 27. They have over a 100 years of service to the community between them.

“For some people volunteering is about giving, but for the likes of these women it is a way of life,” said social worker, Sandra Govender.
