Delicious donation for Operation Bobbi Bear

CEO of the organisation, Eureka Olivier said the healthy frozen fruit donations to the rescue centre will dramatically improve the daily nutritional intake of the children at the home.

Operation Bobbi Bear was the proud recipients of delicious treats, recently. Frozen Brands handed over to the team at Bobbi Bear Rescue Centre a smoothie blender and 50kg of nutritious Früzo Flash frozen fruit as part of a 12-month ongoing donation by the generous local food company. The organisation is a human rights foundation based in Doonside that assists sexually abused children in the Kwa-Zulu Natal region. CEO of the organisation, Eureka Olivier said the healthy frozen fruit donations to the rescue centre will dramatically improve the daily nutritional intake of the children at the home.

“With Covid-19 at play we have seen a dramatic increase in abuse cases and children seeking refuge because of employment loss rates caused by the pandemic, forcing parents to stay at home. “It is our job to rescue these children and take care of them so any support we receive that can help us protect and nurture them back to good emotional and physical health is literally life-changing.”

The organisation appeals to the public for the following items: any second-hand clothes, shoes, linen and towels for all ages, non-perishable food items, sanitary pads, toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap, deodorants, basic medical stock, Dettol or Savlon, antibacterial cream, shampoo, nappies, baby toiletries. Financial support will also be gladly accepted.
