Man arrested in Umkomaas

The suspect is facing a charge of possession of stolen property.

A 28-year-old man appeared in the Scottburgh Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, October 7, facing a charge of possession of stolen property.

This came after two trucks that were stolen in Marianhill in July were found hidden behind a workshop in Umkomaas.

“An intelligence operation was carried out by the Umkomaas SAPS and Umzinto K9 in the Roseneath area on October 6 at 15:30 where the suspect was arrested,” said provincial SAPS spokesperson, Captain Nqobile Gwala.
