Winklespruit Bowling Club postponed some of its club competitions

Winklespruit Bowling Club's clubhouse will be open on a Wednesday and Friday afternoon from 15:00 for drinks and socialising.

DUE to heavy rainfall during the past week, Winklespruit Bowling Club’s (WBC) green had to remain closed for a few days.

The closure resulted in some club competition games being cancelled, fortunately those got re-scheduled. One such game was the men’s senior singles final between two very good players, Paul Hedley and Steve Liebetrau.

Paul did all he could, but Steve kept him at bay and extended his lead and went on to win the game on the 22nd end and became the club’s senior singles men’s champion.

Due to green maintenance, the green will be closed until further notice. The clubhouse will be open on a Wednesday and Friday afternoon from 15:00 for drinks and socialising.

On Thursday, October 28, the club hosts a curry and rice evening at 17:30 for 18:00, followed by a fun game of bingo hosted by Adrian Socks Morrison. The list is on the notice board or contact Norma Raath for further details.
