Stakeholders invited to attend human trafficking prevention workshop

The training will be facilitated via livestream by the HHPPB task team and will be held on Wednesday, October 6 from 08:30 for 09:00 to13:00.

Community safety and the protection of citizens lies at the heart of civil society organisation mandates and government departments.  Stakeholders are called upon to attend a capacity-building workshop focusing on human trafficking prevention. The KwaZulu-Natal Human Trafficking, Harmful Traditional Practices, Prostitution, Pornography and Brothels Task Team (HHPPB), Sparrow Trust and the Amanzimtoti Community Police Forum invite all stakeholders to attend the workshop.

“Topics covered will include indicators of human trafficking, reporting procedures, standard operating procedures and legal aspects which all stakeholders who may come into contact with a potential victim, should be aware of,” said the director of Sparrow Trust, Estelle van Eeden.

The training will be facilitated via livestream by the HHPPB task team and will be held on Wednesday, October 6 from 08:30 for 09:00 to13:00. It will take place at Sweetwaters Church situated at 6 Sanders Road, Winklespruit. The deadline for registrations on Wednesday, September 29.
