CCPO keeps the community crime free

For your peace of mind, join CCPO and help fight crime.

CCPO has been busy keeping Amanzimtoti and surrounding areas crime-free.  On Monday, August 23, information was received from ET Rapid Response that a vehicle was in Beach Road, Amanzimtoti, and was wanted in connection with the driver not paying for fuel at a garage in Prospecton.

“CCPO supervisor Logan Naidoo, located the vehicle and watched the vehicle until Amanzimtoti SAPS crime prevention arrived. Amanzimtoti SAPS escorted the vehicle back to the garage,” said committee member, George Snodey.

On Sunday, August 22, a bicycle was recovered by a CCPO guard on Old Main Road near Isundu drive.

“A suspect abandoned the bicycle and ran away when approached by the guard. If you think it is your bicycle it will be at Amanzimtoti SAPS.”

One of the CCPO guards was patrolling Umdoni Road, near Maple Road on Thursday, August 19, when he noticed a suspicious looking man.

“When he approached him, he fled, but the guard called for assistance over the CCPO radio. A CCPO guard in Eland Avenue caught him. Blue Security and ET Rapid Response assisted. He was found in possession of tools.”

A housebreaking occurred in Vasco Da Gama Drive, Shulton Park at around 10:30 on Wednesday, August 18.

“Suspects forced opened kitchen door to gain access. A flat-screen TV was stolen.” Another housebreaking occurred at around 04:00 on Saturday, August 7, at Truinfar complex in Ellcock Road, Warner Beach. “A suspect entered through a window and stole two cellphones, wallet and car keys.  For your peace of mind, join CCPO and help fight crime. If more of the community were to sign up and become members there would be more funds to employ more guards and possibly have a guard on every street in our town.”
