Operation chilly dog kicks off at Edu-Paw

If you are interested in joining the team to either donate fabric or sew chilly dog jackets, contact Robyn on 072 924 6686.

Edu-Paw aims to provide blankets and jackets for the dogs in the canine care programme.

“The sad reality is that most of the dogs sleep outside in the middle of winter when the temperatures drop drastically, even here in Durban. This is why we are so excited to launch ‘operation chilly dog’. We are even more excited that Robyn Dunbar has agreed to head this up,” said founder of the organisation, Cathy Keegan.

She thanks the supporters of the organisation for their faithfulness.

“Every child who goes through the Edu Paw Canine Care programme is given a blanket for their dog, but in addition to this we really want each dog to receive a warm fleecy jacket to keep them warm during these cold winter nights.”

The organisation serves as the educational side of the SPCA. The team provides information to children in an effort to bring about a full understanding of the responsibility of owning and caring for a dog. The aim is to also instill a culture of love and compassion for dogs.
