Helping hands aid Khanya Hospice

It would cost a lot of money to secure our premises again, which we would rather have spent on medication for our patients.

A BURGLARY recently took place at Khanya Hospice’s office in Umkomaas.

“We were very despondent when we arrived at the office last week only to find out that it was burgled in the early hours of the morning,” said Hospice CEO, Neil McDonald.

According to him not much was taken as the alarm went off.

“However, our privacy was invaded and the damage to the premises was an unexpected expenditure. To be able to secure our premises again, it would cost a lot of money, which we would rather have spent on medication for our patients.”

Fortunately Deon and Danie de Beer from Limax Security came to their aid and fixed the broken window.

Deon, the owner, also undertook to have the windows secured to try and prevent such an incident again.

Khanya Hospice offers free palliative nursing care to people who request assistance and support to their families.
