Khanya Hospice patients and staff blessed with heartfelt donation

The donation was to thank Khanya Hospice for their dedicated and continued work, especially during the past 18 months under lockdown.

Patients and staff members of Khanya Hospice was recently blessed with yet another much-needed donation. Pastors Tanya Fewster and Mel Singh from The House of David Church situated in Isipingo, visited the organisation’s head office and donated a beautiful, soft blanket to each of the nursing staff.

The donation was to thank them for their dedicated and continued work, especially during the past 18 months under lockdown. According to Khanya Hospice CEO, Neil McDonald, they also brought delicious cakes which was enjoyed with a cup of tea.

“The church also donated adult nappies which we use all the time in our patient care programme,” said nursing manager, Sr Sue van Rijsbergen.

“We are very grateful for this kind gesture and thank everyone who so kindly contributed,” said Neil.

Khanya Hospice offers free palliative nursing care to people who request assistance and support to their families.
