Isipingo residents urged to remain vigilant following looting

The communities also took a proactive stance and stood their ground in the face of violence.

The community of Isipingo is still reeling following the violence and looting that began on Sunday, 11 July. The CBD in the area is a no-go zone with several businesses being looted. According to PT Alarms spokesperson, Trishen Govender there were major fires near residential buildings.  The community is urged to remain vigilant during this time.

“PT Alarms Tactical and Response teams together with management worked around the clock to maintain calm together with police. The looters came in droves. They destroyed and hauled goods while aiming rocks, bottles and any other objects to ward off authorities and security officers.”
