A 39-year-old suspect who was arrested for the brutal killing of Anele Bhengu appeared before the Umbumbulu Magistrates’ Court. The body of a 21-year-old woman was found with multiple stab wounds.
“Thulani Nandos Cele appeared in the Umbumbulu Magistrates Court. He faces charges of murder and assault GBH. The matter was remanded to Wednesday, 30 June, for bail information,” regional spokesperson the National Prosecuting Authority, Natasha Kara.
A 39-year-old suspect was placed under arrest and detained at Margate SAPS. He was transferred to KwaMakhutha SAPS for processing.
