When asked about her passion for reading and writing, Sibisi said she fell in love with writing when she first heard a story being read on Ukhozi FM. This sparked a light in her and she wanted to do the same by writing books.

The book, entitled Unembeza Oletha Impumelelo, (Succeeding on a clear conscience) is the second edition from the book called “Ngishaywa isazela”, that was launched in 2014.

Unembeza unveils the abuse of young women from the village who are abused and taken out of school because they don’t deserve an education. They are forced to get married to bring wealth into the family.

The story touches on the abuse of culture, beliefs and religion and how culture is perceived in different villages.

Sibisi currently owns a company called Fundu’khanye writing club where she trains aspiring young writers on how to write and publish their own stories.
