Dumped kitten seeks fur-ever home

Three of the kittens were adopted already and their brother is still looking for his forever home.

An adorable little kitten is looking for his fur-ever home after he and his three siblings were found dumped in a bag in Warner Beach recently. They were rescued by kind-hearted residents, who made sure that they were healthy and happy.

“A friend and I were doing a circuit walk down Gus Brown Road and at the bottom of the street, a man hailed us. He said he found a canvas bag with four kittens dumped on a pathway close to the Warner Beach School. We found the four little fur balls crying for help,” said foster mother, Daphnie Joy Thompson.  My friend and I rolled two kittens each into our T-shirts and carted them up the road. They were taken to the vet and were treated for fleas, de-wormed and bottle-fed. They were around three weeks old at the time. They already had good nurturing from their mother. The man who discovered them from Winklespruit sponsored all their formula, food and vet bills. He was keen to see them find forever homes. I am retired so I became the foster mother.”

Three of the kittens were adopted already and their brother is still looking for his forever home. He is almost eight weeks old.

“The kittens are incredibly social and happy and are not feral. They are babies. They are no longer on their bottles and are now eating kibbles. They are trained to use their little box and are very playful. We would request vaccinations from his three-month check. We will make sure that the cat is well-cared for, healthy and with responsible owners. I’ve never owned cats and this was a first time experience for me. They love to play and it has been an absolute joy taking care of them. If you are a responsible pet owner and you agree to the conditions, contact me. He is the most affectionate little boy and he desperately needs a good home where he will cared for and loved.  The kittens could have starved to death if they were not found. It is far more humane to have taken them to SPCA rather than dumping any animal.”

If you would like to adopt the little kitten, call Daphnie on 084-549-2099.
