Amanzimtoti altercation video causes a stir on social media

Videos capturing an altercation between a car guard and a group of shoppers at Seadoone Mall has been doing their rounds on social media and has caused an uproar in the community. The video which was posted on Saturday, 20 March, shows a man arguing with a car guard before throwing a bottle at him. The moments leading up to the matter are unclear at this stage, however, an investigation will be conducted.
“We are aware of the incident that took place between a customer and the car guard. As management of the mall we take these matters very seriously and we are conducting an internal review of the incident and cannot report further on the matter until the internal review is completed,” said mall manager, Beverly Koekemoer.
