Motorist robbed by bogus police officers

A search for the suspects was conducted by PT Alarms, but to no avail. 

A motorist was allegedly robbed of an undisclosed about of cash by armed suspects impersonating police officers.

“Four suspects attired in various police paraphernalia travelling in a white Toyota Corolla Professional robbed a motorist in the vicinity of the Old Airport,” said PT Alarms spokesperson, Trishen Govender.

Tactical units responded swiftly after receiving a call for assistance on the scene.

The motorist, driving a Quantum, alleged that he was flagged down by the driver of the vehicle who had on police gear. Noting the police uniform, the motorist stopped. He was accosted by the suspects. The victim was pointed with a firearm and robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects fled towards the direction of Wilcox Road, Prospecton.”

A search for the suspects was conducted by PT Alarms, but to no avail.  Members of the public are urged to be on high alert for the armed suspects posing as police officers.
