[watch] – Dumped puppy finds forever home

Owen also has another dog named Coffee and is committed to protecting animals.

“Happiness is a warm puppy.”  These are thoughts of 11-year-old Owen and his mother, Precious Mkhize, who rescued a puppy after they found her tied up in a plastic bag recently.  The puppy, Josephina, now lives a happy life with the pair.  The little boy joined Edu Paw in 2019 and his love for animals has grown in leaps and bounds. It was a rainy and cold day when Owen heard the puppy’s cries for help. Someone had tied the dog in a plastic bag and left her for dead in a hole next to the road.

“I thank God for saving this soul. Owen called me to help him when he found the dog. Somebody put this poor soul in a plastic bag and threw her away, like she was trash. Luckily my son heard the puppy crying for help. The puppy had sores all over its body and she was very hungry. It was raining, but God touched us. We cleaned the puppy up and now she is a happy dog. God is great,” said Precious.

The puppy is growing and is in excellent condition.

“She is a lovely and happy dog. My message to people who may not like animals is to never abuse them or throw away their pets. It is a sin to do so. They should rather give the animals to SPCA, so they can find homes and be loved. Thank you to Cathy Keegan for teaching Owen the importance of caring for animals.”

Owen also has another dog named Coffee and is committed to protecting animals.

“As soon as I read this, I thought of Joseph in the Bible who was thrown into a hole and left for dead by his brothers and was rescued. I told Precious and she was delighted and has named her new dog, Josephina,” said founder of Edu Paw, Cathy Keegan.  Amidst all the sadness, neglect and cruelty we see and hear, which can leave us wondering about the humanity of people, a story like this warms our hearts and restores our hope in humanity.”

Josephina needs to be vaccinated, dewormed and sterilised. If you would like to contribute to her treatment, donate through the following banking details, Amanzimtoti SPCA, FNB, cheque account, 62807184552, branch code, 220127, reference, Edu Paw Steri.
