The firearm office at Amanzimtoti police station will be open on Saturday and Sunday.

The firearm amnesty period draws to a close on Sunday, 31 January. For those people wanting to hand in firearms, apply for a firearm licence or renew an existing license, Sunday is the last day to do so.

In this regard, the firearm office at Amanzimtoti police station will be open on Saturday, 30 January from 8am to 4pm and on Sunday from 8am to midnight. “All Covid-19 protocols will be followed and we urge the public to exercise patience,” said ward 97 councillor, André Beetge.
