16 Days ends on high note in Amanzimtoti

"All of the hard work and hours was for this incredible cause," said Merlene Matthew of Amanzimtoti CPF.

Creating awareness and educating the public was the aim of several organisations that joined forces during the 16 Days of Activism campaign.

“All of the hard work and hours was for this incredible cause,” said Merlene Matthew of Amanzimtoti CPF.  The programme kicked off with a solidarity walk on Beach Road and an awareness campaign at Toti Mall. This was followed by a motorcade to Illovo Township in solidarity with the victims of gender-based violence, front-line workers and victims of Covid-19. A human trafficking and cyber-security talk was at Umbogintwini Primary School. Finally, we commemorated World Aids Day at Amanzimtoti Clinic. It was such an honour to work together and we look forward to working together with all non-profit and faith-based organisations in 2021.”

Amanzimtoti CPF thanks the following organisations and sponsors; Amanzimtoti SAPS, Metro Police, Blue Security, National Security, PT Alarms and Ambulance, Amanzimtoti, Trauma Unit, Sparrow Trust, Amanzimtoti Welfare, Kingsburgh Welfare, Bobby Bear, councillor André Beegte, Neelan and Vaneshrie Naicker, Jarefs Paints, Basil Mothilall, Alcoholics Anonymous, Ben Pillay, Illovo Beach Neighbourhood Watch, Illovo Township CPF Sub Forum, Department of Health, Usizo, Fathers House, Wanderers Haven, Dept Community Safety, Safer Cities and Oasis Water.
