Merry Christmas to Amanzimtoti crime fighters

Thank you for helping make this holiday season just a little bit brighter for them!

In recognition of her fundraising over the years, the CCPO presented Reena Solomon with a certificate of appreciation, bottle of wine and Christmas gift at the handover of the guards vouchers on Thursday, 3 December. “Thanks to Reena for all her support and fundraising over the years,” said CCPO chairman, Paul O’Neil.

Her initial target was R16 000 to be able to give each officers a small Christmas voucher to say thanks from the community, but she was pleasantly surprised when this was surpassed. “A huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated to the CCPO Christmas gift appeal. Thanks to the kindness and generosity that this community is known for, we not only reached our target, but exceeded it!

With your support, the supervisors, guards, street patrollers and reaction officers from CCPO, Blue Security and ET Rapid Response will each receive a well-deserved gift voucher to be used in any store at Seadoone Mall. Thank you for helping make this holiday season just a little bit brighter for them!”

After twenty-odd years of event planning and fundraising, this was Reena’s swansong. “I have decided to call it a day and trundle off to pastures new. I can honestly say I’ve had a blast, met some brilliant people, been to some great places and made friends that will last a lifetime. Thanks to Amanzimtoti Cycle Club, KZN Cycling, KZN Rally, Mother of Peace, Jabulani Senior Citizens Residence, Indwe Africa and the CCPO for giving me the opportunity and I hope in some small way I have made a difference in the community!”
