Edu Paw fur-babies vaccinated at SPCA clinic

The organisation will meet again next month to distribute food for the township dogs and donations of tinned food and pellets are desperately needed.

Several Edu Paw dogs were vaccinated at Amanzimtoti SPCA’s clinic day on Friday, 30 October.

“Some of the township dogs need treatment for mange and others need sterilisation and medical attention. The families who are able to, do contribute toward this cost, but Edu Paw covers a large part,” said founder of the organisation, Cathy Keegan.

The organisation will meet again next month to distribute food for the township dogs and donations of tinned food and pellets are desperately needed.

“We also deworm the dogs and supply collars and leads (to replace chains and rope) as well as supply shampoo. We would be so grateful if you could partner with us to make this all happen. Your donation will make a difference in the lives of our township dogs.”

The organisation usually hosts an eight week canine care programme for the children and their dogs on a Saturday morning at the SPCA, however, due to the pandemic, these classes have been put on hold. Until they can start with classes again, teaching continues remotely via an Edu Paw WhatsApp group. Donations can be deposited into the following account: Amanzimtoti SPCA, FNB, current account, account number: 62807184552, branch code: 220127, reference: Edu Paw.
