A man who was robbed of cash in the Toti CBD on Monday afternoon, 2 November refused to open a case, even though the suspect was caught by the CCPO and Toti SAPS.
In the same afternoon a man carrying copper pipes in Umdoni road, Amanzimtoti was stopped by a Blue Security street patroller. He called for assistance and CCPO and Toti SAPS crime prevention responded. The copper pipes were stripped from an unoccupied building on Kingsway. A case was opened and the suspect detained.
Sunday, 1 November
A housebreaker was nabbed in a combined effort by Toti SAPS crime prevention, the CCPO, ET Rapid Response and Blue Security. He was caught as he attempted to flee from a property in Lewis Drive, Amanzimtoti after the information was relayed over the CCPO radio. A case of theft was opened and the suspect detained.
Saturday, 31 October
A white VW Polo that was stolen from Whitfield Drive, St Winifreds was recovered by CCPO supervisor, Michael Mkhize and the tracking company in Lovu Township. The driveway gate was derailed to gain access to the vehicle.
That evening a table that was stolen from a pre-school in Wade Road, Amanzimtoti was recovered and the suspect apprehended by CCPO supervisor, Logan Naidoo and his crewman.
