Win a winch with Warnadoone Ski Boat Club

Tickets cost R100 each and are available from the barman or secretary.

Along with most sports and recreation clubs in Toti, the Warnadoone Ski Boat Club has had a tough economical time during lockdown. APG Commercial has offered a helping hand with the donation of a Warn 10 000-pound VR EVO winch, to be raffled off to raise much-needed funds for the club. The winch features a two-in-one remote with wired or wireless control options and is valued at R10 000.

“Thanks to APG Commercial for the donation,” said commodore Glen Jansen. “It’s nice to have the opportunity to raffle off an above average winch. The club is struggling after being closed for five months during lockdown. We usually pay 100% of our anglers’ fees to fish in competition, but we might have to drop that to 50% next year in February when competitions start again. With eight competitions a year, that alone amounts to more than R10 000.

Then there is the maintenance to the club. We are a relatively small club with 180 members, which includes social members, so this donation has come at a good time.”

Tickets cost R100 each and are available from the barman or secretary – email warnadooneskiboatclub@gmail.com. You can pay with cash, card or EFT. Use the following bank details: Warnadoone Ski Boat Club, ABSA Galleria, account number: 4050064321, reference your name and Warn. Email proof of payment.

The question to answer is: What is the brand of the winch? The draw takes place on 16 December at the club, which is also its boat inspection and Christmas tree day. For more information, call 031-916-4030.
