Two men were critically wounded in a drive-by shooting on the N2 near Illovo Beach on Saturday afternoon, 3 October. ET Rapid Response received calls about bodies lying on the highway at about 4pm.
“Our tactical response team responded, along with the CCPO. On scene, it was discovered that a white Ford Ranger, with five occupants, were driving on the N2, when they came under heavy gun fire from unknown occupants in another vehicle. With heavy rain, evidence and scene preservation was difficult,” said ET’s Tony Lokker.
The two injured passengers were transported to hospital and SAPS is investigating.
