Organisation celebrates first birthday

In this past year the organisation has assisted the community immensely and has grown in leaps and bounds. They have also developed and nurtured strong relationships within the community.

In celebration of Wanderers Haven’s first birthday, the organisation hosted two fundraising events on Saturday, 26 September. A walk of faith and a market day with stalls, jumping castles and music took place.

“The event was very successful for a first market. We would have loved more support, but the weather was an issue for some. The children had a play area and jumping castle sponsored by Jumping Joy. It was a fantastic atmosphere and every stallholder wants to come back,” said co-founder, Sharon Swanepoel.

The organisation will host another fleamarket on Saturday, 31 October.

“Thank you to everyone who supported this event. This is how we take our area back and uplift it by bringing in more events for the community to participate in. We are looking forward to the next one. Our walk was amazing and people came out to wave and support us.”
