Cubs celebrate International Coastal Clean Up Day

Through a joint effort, the Cubs managed to collect 13 bags of rubbish.

The 1st Umbogintwini Cubs Group did a wonderful job of cleaning up the area at Amanzimtoti Lagoon on Saturday, 19 September in celebration of International Coastal Clean Up Day. Through a joint effort, the Cubs managed to collect 13 bags of rubbish.

“We started at 9am and finished at 11am. After a very exciting day on the beach, we headed back to the car park with our bags and counted how many we had done. I thank the parents for bringing the cubs to the beach for this event and those who stayed with us on the beach and helped out. I really appreciate it,” said Debbie Fisher.
