Be careful on Amanzimtoti beaches – CCPO

Chain Rocks is very isolated and dangerous.

The CCPO warns the public to be careful walking on the beach, especially in the vicinity of Chain Rocks. “We heard that a man was robbed by two thugs on Wednesday morning (19 August) – one had a panga and the other a knife,” said committee member, George Snodey.

He was robbed of an expensive camera, watch, Go Pro and a few other items. “Chain Rocks is very isolated and dangerous – if you are planning to walk in that area, ensure you have no watches, rings, phones and so on. Try not to walk there on your own as well. If you have no valuables, they may stab you out of pure frustration.” If anyone has any information regarding the suspects, call George on 083-655-4302.
