Khanya Hospice continues the good fight with donations

Our care is for free to the patients, but it is not free for us to provide.

Part of the Jems Foundation team visited Khanya Hospice and blessed the nursing staff with gifts and food hampers to say thank you for all their hard work and effort in the area that they are working in, and the community work that Khanya Hospice is doing.

“We have not escaped the devastating effect Covid-19 has had on people and businesses. We are extremely thankful to the Dischem Foundation for another wonderful donation for our patient care programme. Our nursing staff get to patients’ houses and there are no painkillers or antiseptic medication. We have to help and supply adult nappies, body lotion and creams, masks, anti-inflammatory medication, wound care dressing and syringes, and we used plastic aprons and latex gloves for our staff to protect themselves.

Our care is for free to the patients, but it is not free for us to provide, so we have to buy whatever we need and use for patient care.” To donate, call Neil on 083-597-8985 or email hospice@khanyahospice.co.za.
