eThekwini municipal libraries are preparing to open soon. The department is working to ensure that libraries that are ready for opening are compliant to the Covid-19 regulations.
“The Department of Arts and Culture is at this stage finalising the standard operating procedures and regulations related to the day to day functioning of our libraries in the province,” said Thobela Ngidi of the libraries department.
Depending on the various stages of preparedness, libraries may open in phases. The date for the opening of the first phase of libraries will be announced in the media.
