Amanzimtoti old age home needs help

The pandemic has forced us to think completely out of the box.

Unable to host its annual fundraising fete due to the lockdown, Jabulani appeals for assistance from the Toti public.
“With hearts filled with gratitude, we thank you all for supporting Jabulani through these years,” said the organisation’s Jolene Berry.

The old age home caters for local SASSA people and is not subsidised by government. “In spite of that, we could maintain our building, kept the rent affordable and still answer to the need among our welfare pensioners. This is because of the grace of God and the public’s support with donations and other contributions.

“The pandemic has forced us to think completely out of the box and we cannot continue managing Jabulani as always. It is also our responsibility to try and keep everybody safe.”

The committee has decided that as it cannot host its annual fete this year, it encourages all who would have spent money at the fete to donate the money into Jabulani’s bank account. “We also encourage the community to continue with food contributions or any other form of help. Thank you for understanding our challenge and feel free to communicate with the executive committee. We pray that you all will stay safe and virus-free.”
