SPCA assists fur-babies

Officials from the organisation assisted the state vet to vaccinate, deworm and assist almost all animals in disadvantaged communities. 

The Amanzimtoti SPCA team were out and about tending to needs of animals and combating the spread of rabies in high risk areas recently.

Officials from the organisation assisted the state vet to vaccinate, deworm and assist almost all animals in disadvantaged communities.

Manager of Amanzimtoti SPCA, Tracey Girling said, “We have seen 36 rabies cases this year and this is highly concerning. The clinic was a success and we hope to host more mobile clinics in other high risk areas,” she added.

The organisation also appeals for donations of tin food.

“We are starting to run low on tinned food for kittens, cats, puppy and dog tinned food,” she added.
