Amanzimtoti SAPS’ community service centre closed due to Covid

All other administrative services are being performing normally at the station.

The Community Service Centre at Amanzimtoti police station was temporarily closed on Saturday, 18 July after one of its members tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. The centre is now operating from the lecture hall, which is a separate building on the station’s premises.

To access the station, the public can call 031-913-1394 for all emergencies and complaints. The telephone lines at the centre will not be accessible for the duration of the closure, but SAPS has promised service delivery will not be hampered.

Another member performing court duties also tested positive earlier last week. The member was in contact with others at the centre while performing administrative duties. The entire station, including all admin offices, was decontaminated by a private company, but they are still waiting for the provincial decontamination team.

All other administrative services are being performing normally at the station. SAPS management apologies for any inconvenience that may arise from this. Station commander, Col Bonginkosi Nkabinde can be contacted on 082-417-9461.
