Father’s Day spent at the beach

Much fun was had throwing a line or two out to sea and splashing around in the shore breaks.

Nothing beats a fisherman’s Father’s Day than a day on the beach with his children.

With the weather playing its part and massive sardine shoals spotted along the South Coast shores. Local fisherman, Vaughn Clendennen, took full advantage of this year’s sardine run by spending the morning at Illovo Beach with his brood, Bryce and Kira on Sunday, 21 June.

Much fun was had throwing a line or two out to sea and splashing around in the shore breaks while bystanders watched as scores of sardines were hauled in and professional fishermen fought hard to land three sharks that were safely released back into the sea.
