Reckless motorbike rider causes a nuisance [LETTER]

I hope that more people will voice their complaints about this issue.

EDITOR – I am voicing my support to S Pretorius’ message, in the 8 May edition.
With the level five lockdown, it was heaven to enjoy the stillness. But since level five lockdown was lowered to level four, this radical bombardment by the lunatic motorcycle driver at top speed from Warner Beach towards Doonside, on Kingsway, it is obvious that these brainless motorcycle drivers do not have any respect or discipline to adhere to the speed limits. By driving at top speed towards Doonside robots, they gear down in order to try to stop at the robot.
I also wrote many complaints to Metro law enforcers for speed bumps, with no reply or action. It is a youthful man with a black helmet and a small motorcycle that did not receive any upbringing to respect the traffic law or respecting others. It is where their parents did not intervene with their children’s upbringing.
As a 75-year-old pensioner, who moved from Gauteng to enjoy retirement in peace and harmony, I have 17 years experience of law enforcing and can, with all honesty say that law enforcing here is pathetic.
I hope that more people will voice their complaints about this issue. The SAPS laugh at you when you want to lay a charge.
I will also add my support to take this serious issue further.
GIDEON P PIETERSE
Doonside resident.
