Help local organisation serve community

Canned goods, rice, pasta, cereals, tea, sugar, noodles and vegetables and maize meal is needed.

Local organisation, Wanderers Haven that has been serving up food parcels on a daily basis to impoverished residents is appealing to the community to assist them with donations.

Numerous families in the community have been assisted through the organisation and only through donations of food items can more residents benefit from the organisation.

Founder of the organisation, Sharon Swanepoel said, “We have a basket at Food Lovers Market, for drop offs for donations. We have more and more families desperately needing assistance with food, please assist us in helping them. Thank you for your continued support throughout this period. God is faithful and has supplied our every need thus far. We have new families on our list this week.”

“We started off the week with a bang and had amazing donations coming in, then towards the end of the week we received nothing. And we said God always comes through and that’s exactly what He did. Right up until the last minute, we were still short of a lot of canned food and 10 packs of noodles. My husband, Johnny Swanepoel, wanted to go to the shops and get what we were short off and then God sent an angel with just what we needed. Wendy and Gavin Walters thank you so much for your generous donations. We have had so many sponsors who have assisted us immensely. Every donation big or small helps us make up a food parcel and we will pick up,” she added.
