Isipingo woman murdered for cellphone

It is alleged that the suspects robbed the victim of her cellphone and tried to strangle her. 

Law enforcement officials responded to the scene of a robbery on Isipingo Old Main Road near a transit camp on Friday, 17 April.

It is alleged that the suspects robbed the victim of her cellphone and tried to strangle her.

Spokesperson of PT Alarms, Dhevan Govindasamy said, “The enraged community came out in numbers to ensure that the suspects were arrested. One person was arrested by Umlazi K9 unit and PT Tactical Unit along Phila old Main Road and swamp by Flamboyant Drive grounds.”

Army officers, SAPS, PT Tactical unit and Metro Police attempted to disperse the furious crowd. A search is underway for the runaway suspects.
