Lockdown louts nabbed in Amanzimtoti

The same unlicensed car and four of the group were spotted at Amanzimtoti Sports Centre on Monday, 13 April.

Adhere to the lockdown rules or you will be caught and charged. That’s the warning from the CCPO after seven people were arrested in Warner Beach on Friday, 10 April.

“They decided to have fun in Ellcock Road and then moved to Baggies Beach. Unfortunately for them, residents called in to complain, because they were being noisy,” said CCPO committee member, George Snodey. Metro Police, SAPS, CCPO and Blue Security officers responded. They were taken to the police station and charged under the disaster management act and the driver was charged for driving an unlicensed vehicle.

However, the belief that most law breakers are not the smartest was validated when the same unlicensed car and four of the group were spotted at Amanzimtoti Sports Centre on Monday, 13 April. Metro Police and ET Rapid Response officers responded and a bag of crystal meth was found on one of them. They were once again loaded into the police van and given a free ride to the police station.
