Anglers fined for disregarding lockdown

Numerous anglers have been fined for disregarding the authorities by fishing along the South Coast.

Residents are once again reminded that beaches are closed as part of the 21-day long nationwide lockdown.
This comes after numerous anglers have been fined for disregarding the authorities by fishing along the South Coast.

“Beach law enforcement has been assisting SAPS because of a shortage of resources. They have been warning a lot of people, but the guys have been ignoring them and coming back to fish, so now they decided to fine them,” said CCPO committee member, George Snodey, a guardian of local rivers.
