CCPO puts cellphone thieves on hold

The phone had changed hands a couple of times, but three suspects were caught and the phone was recovered.

Three suspects were nabbed in the Toti CBD for the theft of a cellphone on Monday, 6 April. A suspect jumped over the wall and stole a cellphone from a Kingsway, Amanzimtoti residence.

“In a combined effort with the CCPO, Toti SAPS crime prevention unit, ET Rapid Response and Blue Security, the phone was tracked to Toti CBD, where we received information of the suspect. The phone had changed hands a couple of times, but three suspects were caught and the phone was recovered,” said committee member, George Snodey.

All three were taken to Toti SAPS to be detained.
