No coronavirus tests at local clinics

Clinics have been issued with protective wear and sanitisers in line with prescription, but supplies remain limited in line with the increased demand.

Local clinics will not be part of the Covid-19 screening process. This is according to ward 97 councillor, Andre Beetge.
“Certain staff members have been identified for urgent training and they will be accompanying government screening teams to pre-identified areas.  It has to be made clear that not every single person and household will at this point be screened, but instead these teams will be directed and deployed in line with information regarding high risk or areas with a high number of confirmed cases,” he said.
