Crocworld welcomes virtual visitors

The public will also get the chance to visit the Crocworld Conservation Centre Facebook page to vote for environmental topics and themes they would like covered during the lockdown period, and check out any of the exciting snake capture videos being posted.

Crocworld will host virtual tours of the centre to keep everyone updated on all the animal activity.  This is a great educational tour for youngsters or something interesting for new or first-time ‘visitors’.

In accordance with government regulations the organisation closed its doors to the public on Friday, 27 March. However, they will keep in constant contact with the public through exciting live feeds, video footage and interviews.

Manager of Crocworld Conservation Centre, Martin Rodrigues said, “Crocworld will have a core group of staff that will continue the feeding and animal husbandry during the 21-day lockdown, ensuring the health and safety of all our resident animals is prioritised. We understand this will be a difficult time with people having to avoid public space and interaction, which is why we are going online with live feeds directly from the centre.”
