Policeman fatally shot near old airport
Traffic has been severely affected by the incident. The relevant authorities are on the scene.
A man, believed to be a policeman in his 40s, was fatally shot on the N2, near the old airport, a short while ago.
According to Rescue Care Paramedics spokesman, Garrith Jamieson the man sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body. “Unfortunately there was nothing more that paramedics could do for him. He was declared dead on the scene,” he added.
