Man shot in Isipingo hijacking

Spokesman of PT Alarms, Dhevan Govindasamy said, "It is alleged that the suspects were on foot and confronted the couple who were driving a silver Corsa. The suspects shot the man."

A man was shot and his vehicle taken after he and his wife were accosted by two suspects on Spathodia Drive in Isipingo Hills this afternoon.

PT Ambulance stabilised the victim on scene and transported him to hospital.

Spokesman of PT Alarms, Dhevan Govindasamy said, “It is alleged that the suspects were on foot and confronted the couple who were driving a silver Corsa. The suspects shot the man. The couple then got out of the vehicle and looked for cover.

A search was conducted, but to no avail.

All PT and SAPS units are on high alert.

It is alleged that an unidentified vehicle was seen driving around in the area.

Residents are urged to report suspicious activities or persons to police or their security service provider.
